Artist's Comments

This is a painting done in Pen and Ink, watercolor and colored pencil. I had so much fun doing every stage of this drawing. It just flowed so easily. I did all of the color work in one sitting. Well, I lie. It was two and I took a nap in the middle and stopped for lunch. But still, to have done all the color work in a singe day is a terrific feat for me, and I am really proud of this one.

I'm not sure about the title, though.

EDIT:
Now available as a cross-stitch from KustomKrafts!

WOW! Your should be very proud of this, it's fantastick!!! The level of detail is just unbeleivable, it's like I could look at this piece for a whole day and always be finding something new! The figures, the colours, the composition, it's all just beautiful. Wonderful work, just wonderful!!!

Wow! This is really gorgeous! The detail is amazing, and done in one day!! How big is the original? I love the border and the colors. Great work and a :+fav:
:iconmparker:
Oh, good question!
I probably should edit the description to mention that it's 11x17" and was done on Illustration board (actually, the board was 15x20, and I placed the image in the middle to make matting easier. However, this made scanning MUCH harder. I love the 11x17 size because it's big enough to allow for a LOT of detail, and yet it's small enough that I don't exhaust myself trying to get it all colored in.
:iconelvenstar83:
That is quite large to have painted so quickly! I know how much of a pain it is to scan larger paintings like that. It is such a beautiful painting! Do you sell prints anywhere?
:iconmparker:
Ha! When I scanned it, I had to stick my foot on the scanner to hold the lid down, because the watercolor had made the board warp slightly, and I hadn't had a chance to press it flat yet. Which actually worked, surprisingly enough.

I do plan to have prints available. I have prints of most of the other work in the gallery, too, I just don't have a paypal accout set up to recieve money yet, so I don't advertise them on the site yet.

If you, or anyone else, is interested in a print, please email me privately and we can discuss it.

Lol! That sounds like me when I scan things. And my scanner's not that big so I have to scan things in at least two pieces and then put them back together in photoshop. :D

Thanks for the info on the prints. :)
